Mount Marcy (5,344 feet), New York

On vacation to visit at Fish Creek Campground in upstate New York - Ashley, Greg and myself decided to climb Mount Marcy, the highest peak in the Adirondacks, as well as the state of New York.  This would be my 3rd ascent of the peak, my fathers 6th ascent and Ashley's 1st (as well as her 4th state highpoint).

Round Trip Hiking Mileage: 16 miles
Elevation Gain: 3250 feet

We went in via the extremely popular Van Hoevenberg Trail starting from the ADK LOJ parking lot.
